Payment must be made only in Australian dollars AUD$ by one of the noted credit cards or by a banker's draft drawn on an Australian clearing bank (and not by personal cheques). Full payment is required eight weeks before program operation.

Provided there is space, bookings can be accepted until the day of operation, but for bookings within eight weeks before operation, immediate payment of the full fee is required. Telephone bookings are not accepted.

Disabilities The locations are not wheelchair accessible but please do not hesitate to contact us for advice. In some of the locations, dependent on the disability, arrangements may be possible given sufficient advance notice.

Booking Conditions
These booking conditions are subject only to the warranties, rights or remedies granted by law which are incapable of being excluded in particular those given by the Trade Practices Act (Australia). Inner Journeys (NSW) Pty Ltd (hereinafter called "the Operator") accepts the booking and arranges program participation only upon the terms and conditions set out in the Operator's web site, which as at 01 July 2000 were the following conditions.

1. Inner Journeys Pricing. The prices for Inner Journeys' programs are per person in Australian Dollars and are based on exchange rates and costs in effect 01 July 2001. Prices quoted in UK Pounds or US Dollars are for indicative purposes only.

2. Changes in Pricing. The prices quoted by Inner Journeys are subject to change without notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as exchange rate fluctuations and/or increases in supplier costs and charges. Programs are subject to alteration if any transport arrangements or conditions require it. If at any time we are unable to confirm the hotel specified in the program you will be assigned to a hotel of a similar or superior standard.

3. Payment. A non-refundable deposit of AUS$500.00 per person per program is required when booking and full payment is required eight weeks before program operation. If booking less than eight weeks prior to program operation immediate payment of the full fee is required.

4. Cancellation Fees and Refunds. If you cancel: More than eight weeks before departure, the deposit is forfeited. Less than eight weeks before departure, the following percentage of the total fee is retained or payable, even if the balance remains outstanding: 4-8 weeks - 50%; 11 days to four weeks - 75%; 0-10 days - 100% of fees are retained or are payable. In many cases, cancellation fees are covered by insurance. As a condition of participation in any program, Inner Journeys requires all participants to have taken out appropriate travel insurance. Notification of cancellation of the program must be given in writing to us immediately and prior to program operation date. Failure to do so may prejudice your entitlement to claim a refund. No refunds can be made once participants are in their place of destination.

5. Program Prices DO NOT Include. Airfares (except where specified), airport taxes, meals or sightseeing (other than those specified), cost of passport or other documentation, laundry, liquor, excess baggage charges, tips, personal and baggage insurance, communications charges or expenditure on any items of a personal nature.

6. Program Changes. No individual program changes or modifications can be made. The Operator reserves the right to rearrange the order of any itinerary, to cancel or substitute elements of any program without notice when local conditions force such changes. The Operator will remain the sole discretionary as to whether the local conditions warrant changes being made.

7. Travel Documents. Passport and visa requirements are the participant's responsibility.

8. Insurance. It is a condition of participation in these programs that the participant take out a holiday insurance policy which will remain in force for the entire duration of the program and to furnish evidence to The Operator of having done so prior to program operation.

9. Children & Infants. The programs have not been designed to accommodate the attendance of children. Under special circumstances, on some programs, it might be possible for a child to accompany the parent subject to prior application and approval by The Operator.

10. Room Checkout. Normal checkout time is 12 noon and normal check-in time is after 3.00pm. This means that if you arrive early or depart late it will be necessary to reserve the room from the night before or pay a late checkout fee. Details of these charges for your particular requirements are available from The Operator.

11. Definition of room Types: Share Twin: When two adults, two children or one adult and one child share the same room using twin or double/queen/king size beds. Single Room: When an adult or child occupies the room alone. Dormitory accommodation: When an adult or child shares a room utilising a single bed in that room which has been designed to be occupied by multiple persons who may or may not know each other or be of the same sex.

12. Web Site Text and Content. Any reference to specific views, sunrises and sunsets are subject to favourable weather conditions and the availability of suitable viewing points at the time. Any reference to festivals or specific local events are subject to those events being held as anticipated and as could reasonably been researched in advance by The Operator. The Inner Journeys programs and descriptions and inclusions therein are current from 01 July 2000 until further notice but are subject to constant revision without notice before or after a program's commencement date.

13. Maps and Illustrations. Any maps, photographs or illustrations utilised are for general purposes only and are not intended to indicate the exact facility, route, location, service or hotel, which may vary.

14. Responsibilities/Limitations on Liability: a) The Operator acts only as agent for the persons or companies ("the service providers") providing accommodation, transport, meals or other services and the Operator issues all coupons, vouchers, tickets or other documents on the service providers terms and conditions. The participant agrees to accept and abide by these terms and conditions so imposed. b) The participant acknowledges that neither the Operator, its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, servants or agents shall be or become liable in contract or in tort, including negligence, or otherwise for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay to person or property, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by any service provider or by force majeure or other events beyond the Operator's control, including, but not limited to war, civil disturbance, pilferage, delays, severe weather, acts of God, acts of Government, accidents or failure to machinery, equipment, vehicles or industrial disputes. c) The Operator shall not be liable or responsible to any participant in the event of dissatisfaction with the standard of service or accommodation provided by any service provider or responsible for any disappointment, distress, loss of enjoyment arising from any act or omission whatsoever. The contract between the Operator and the person making the bookings shall, for the purposes of any dispute, be governed in all respects by the law in Australia. In these terms and conditions, the participant includes every person who participates in a program. In the case of a program being arranged on behalf of an infant or minor by any person that person shall be deemed to be the contracting party and he or she shall hold the Operator fully indemnified against any claim made by the infant or minor. d) Assumption of Risk - Participants should be aware that during any program, trip or vacation that they participate in under the terms of the Operator and its' agents or associates and the service providers, certain risks and dangers may occur including, but not limited to, the hazards of travelling in mountainous terrain, accident or illness in remote places without medical facilities, the forces of nature and the travel by air, automobile, boat or other conveyance, participants' medical or psychiatric conditions which may develop during or subsequent to participation in a program. In consideration of, and as part payment for, the right to participate in such programs, trips or other activities and the services and food arranged for participants by the Operator and its agents or associates and the service providers, passengers assume all the above risks and will hold them harmless from any and all liability actions, cause of action, debts, claims and demands of every kind and nature whatsoever which participants now have or which may arise of or in connection with their program, trip or participation in any other activities arranged for participants by the Operator and its agents or associates. The terms hereof shall serve as an assumption of risk for participant's heirs, executors and administrators and for all members of the participant's family including any minors accompanying them. Passengers should read and agree to the Booking Conditions, especially noting the policy on cancellations and refunds.
